Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly feature created by The Broke and The Bookish and this is my first time doing it, today’s topic is ‘Books I’ve Recently Added to my TBR’. I like adding books to my TBR that I know I’ll get to at some point, those that really interest me, with an enticing synopsis, and let’s be honest, having a to-read shelf of five thousand plus books can be really stressful, I only have 246 books to read in my virtual shelf, decent, right?
So here I’ve put together the latest books I’ve shelved, you can visit my Goodreads page and see these, I left two novellas and a comic book out of this list, only full-length novels are featured.
THE BAZAAR OF BAD DREAMS BY STEPHEN KING
Goodreads Description: Since his first collection, Nightshift, published thirty-five years ago, Stephen King has dazzled readers with his genius as a writer of short fiction. In this new collection he assembles, for the first time, recent stories that have never been published in a book. He introduces each with a passage about its origins or his motivations for writing it.
There are thrilling connections between stories; themes of morality, the afterlife, guilt, what we would do differently if we could see into the future or correct the mistakes of the past. “Afterlife” is about a man who died of colon cancer and keeps reliving the same life, repeating his mistakes over and over again. Several stories feature characters at the end of life, revisiting their crimes and misdemeanors. Other stories address what happens when someone discovers that he has supernatural powers—the columnist who kills people by writing their obituaries i
THE ANALYST BY JOHN KATZENBACH
Goodreads Description: ‘Happy fifty-third birthday, Doctor. Welcome to the first day of your death. You ruined my life. And now I fully intend to ruin yours.
‘You have exactly one fortnight, starting tomorrow morning at 6 a.m., to discover who I am. When you succeed you must purchase one of those tiny ads at the bottom of the New York Times front page, and print my name there.
‘If you do not succeed, then . . . you will take note that the second sheet of this letter contains the names of fifty-two of your relatives. If you are unable to purchase the ad as described, then you will have this choice: kill yourself immediately or I will destroy one of these innocent people.’
Until the moment he opens the letter, New York psychologist Dr Frederick Starks has led a quiet and, so he believes, blameless life. He has no idea why he’s being judged by this unknown tormentor a former patient – who then lethally begins to demonstrate the potential of his, or her, threats. As the layers of Starks’s carefully constructed life are stripped from him, he quickly finds himself a powerless pawn in a psychopath’s devious game of vengeance.

RIGHT OF FIRST REFUSAL BY DAHLIA ADLER
Goodreads Description: On the lacrosse field, Cait Johannssen gets what she wants. Off the field is another story. Because what she wants is the school’s hot new basketball student-coach, Lawrence Mason, who also happens to be the guy who broke her heart in sports camp two years earlier.
But it’s Cait’s new roommate who’s got him.
Cait and Mase agree it’s best to keep their past a secret, but she doesn’t expect him to completely ignore their history…or how much it’ll hurt when he does. So when a friend on the basketball team asks her to pose as his girlfriend for a night, Cait can’t turn down the opportunity for distraction. (Okay, and a little spite.) But what starts as an evening of fun turns into a fake relationship with more lies than the usually drama-free Cait can handle, and it’s only keeping her from the one truth that’s nagged at her for years: Why did Mase cut her out of his life to begin with?
And is it really too late to get him back?
Really excited to get to these titles when the time is right! xo Estefani
