On December 3rd the cover for Red Queen: The Chronicles of Alice, the sequel to Alice was revealed by TOR.com, and I just wanted to share my excitement over this thrilling duology. Click here to see TOR’s announcement and a excerpt from Alice.

Alice was my favorite novel of this year, and one of my all-time favorites. I was so amazed when I read it that I just couldn’t stop praising, recommending it and talking about it with my friends on Goodreads and well…basically everywhere I can. I need more Hatcher and Alice in my system, honestly the best pair of characters!

If you didn’t know, Alice is a twisted and gory fantastical Adult retelling of Alice in Wonderland, it’s nothing like the original tale. It tells the story after Alice went down the rabbit hole and lets say her experience wasn’t wonderful in the least. She’s in a hospital now, has been for years, after a fire gives her and her friend Hatcher a chance to escape, they embark on a horrid quest in which we meet some of the characters we already know in a new personification.

Here’s my review for Alice

Christina Henry shared a Red Queen teaser on her blog, you can read it here!

Goodreads description of Red Queen: The Chronicles of Alice

The author of Alice takes readers back down the rabbit hole to a dark, twisted, and fascinating world based on the works of Lewis Carroll…

The land outside of the Old City was supposed to be green, lush, hopeful. A place where Alice could finally rest, no longer the plaything of the Rabbit, the pawn of Cheshire, or the prey of the Jabberwocky. But the verdant fields are nothing but ash—and hope is nowhere to be found.

Still, Alice and Hatcher are on a mission to find his daughter, a quest they will not forsake even as it takes them deep into the clutches of the mad White Queen and her goblin or into the realm of the twisted and cruel Black King.

The pieces are set and the game has already begun. Each move brings Alice closer to her destiny. But, to win, she will need to harness her newfound abilities and ally herself with someone even more powerful—the mysterious and vengeful Red Queen…
